Do you love drawing and want to create multiple prints of your drawings without having to draw each one? Then learning how to silkscreen is the perfect solution! In this workshop, you’ll learn all about using emulsion and hand drawn stencils to create amazing images that can be transferred onto almost any surface. Included is the use of screens, squeegees, emulsion, ink, paper, pens, tracing paper, exposure table and spray booth.
This workshop is 3 hours and runs on Sundays from either 10am-1pm or 1pm-3pm. Classes are run by request, please email with a few days and times of preference and I will let you know which ones work the best. You don’t have to have any previous experience but it is recommended that you bring in a few images for reference that you want to work with. I suggest something that translates into a single colour.
The workshops run on demand so the price is dependant on the amount of students. If you pick a date and someone joins, your price will be updated. deposits are welcome but payment is not due till the day of the workshop.
For a one on one workshop – $150.00
Two student workshop – $100.00 per person
Three student workshop – $75.00 per person
Four students or more workshop – $50.00 per person
I can accommodate a maximum of 6 students during a workshop. Prices include tax and are per person.
Get carving with lino and leave with an original stamp to use time and time again. You’ll learn about different lino surfaces, cutting tools, layout and design as well as use of inks, rollers, paper, and presses. Lino is versatile, fun and the best part is you don’t need to invest in a lot of tools and you can make them at your kitchen table!

Looking to get creative with clay? Janine offers ceramics and pottery classes for both adults, tweens and children at the Trout Lake and Kerrisdale Community Centres. You can find all the details and enroll on the City of Vancouver website. Pottery classes can be very popular, it is recommended to find out when your preferred centres registration is and to preload any classes to your wishlist so you can registers quickly. At Trout Lake I have had classes fill in less than 5 min.
